Gatsby felt uncomfortable in Daisy's house – she was simply from a finer world than he. Daisy was the first "nice" girl Gatsby had ever known or met.But we get a few more details, courtesy of the Nick grapevine:.Nick tells us that this was the first moment he learned of Gatsby's history – the history he revealed to us back in Chapter Six. ![]() Gatsby can't imagine leaving Daisy at this moment, so he stays.
